Visalia, CA – Family HealthCare Network’s (FHCN) Anita de la Vega Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications from Tulare and Kings County high school seniors and junior college students for a $600 scholarship opportunity. Students must be pursuing a degree in health or community health and meet all other eligibility criteria outlined in the application.
FHCN established the Anita de la Vega Scholarship Fund in 2009 in honor of Anita de la Vega, a clinician who served at the Network for 30 years. “Through these scholarships, our goal is to support a new generation of health and community leaders committed to serving in Tulare and Kings Counties,” stated FHCN President & CEO Kerry Hydash. Since 2010, FHCN has awarded six scholarships per year through the Anita de la Vega Scholarship Fund. In total, $18,000 has been awarded to local students. All scholarship funds are raised from employee and community donations.
Applications are available at Family HealthCare Network’s website at www.FHCN.org. Applicants must submit a complete application no later than 5:00 pm on March 16, 2015. The Anita de la Vega Scholarship Fund Committee will make its final selection of recipients by April 6, 2015.
