Family HealthCare Network’s Certified Enrollment Counselors Now Available in Tulare & Kings Counties
Visalia, CA – Family HealthCare Network’s (FHCN) team of certified enrollment counselors are gearing up for the 2016 Covered California open enrollment period which begins November 1, 2015, and continues through January 31, 2016. With health centers throughout Tulare and Kings Counties, FHCN will once again serve as a Certified Enrollment Entity for Covered California, assisting local individuals and families in applying for and selecting health insurance plans. The renewal process for all existing Covered California plans is already underway for individuals who enrolled in the exchange last year. The renewal period will remain open until October 31, 2015.
“We are pleased to continue providing enrollment guidance to our patients and the community”, stated Kerry Hydash, Family HealthCare Network President & CEO. During last year’s open enrollment period, FHCN educated more than 108,000 individuals in the local service area through outreach, presentations, enrollment and in-reach at their health centers. Overall, the organization assisted more than 6,500 individuals in completing their applications. “There is still a need for education and assistance to help members of our community navigate through the coverage process,” added Hydash.
Certified enrollment counselors are now available at each of FHCN’s 15 health centers in Visalia, Porterville, Hanford, Tulare, Goshen, Woodlake, Cutler-Orosi, Ivanhoe, Farmersville, Three Rivers, Terra Bella, and Springville, as well as at its Resource Center in Porterville. This year, FHCN will also host several offsite enrollments throughout Tulare and Kings Counties, including weekly sessions at the Tulare Public Library. Beginning Wednesday, October 28th through January 27th, certified enrollment counselors will be available at the library each Wednesday from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
