A.T. Still University

Family HealthCare Network is one of the California Community Health Center (CHC) sites for A.T. Still University School of Health Sciences in Arizona. As one of the original premier CHC sites, FHCN hosts 30 Osteopathic (DO) Medical Students, 5 Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (PA) Students and Dental Students in completing their clinical rotations each year. Through their experience at FHCN, students train to deliver high quality healthcare with a focus on comprehensive healthcare and access in the Central Valley. As part of a unique “Hometown Scholar” program, Family Healthcare Network seeks to identify community residents who want to pursue a health career, serve in a primary care field and want to serve their community. Through this endorsed Hometown Scholar program, students are able to return to the Central Valley to complete their medical education and become health leaders in their community. NYU Lutheran Dental Med

Family HealthCare Network is a training site for the New York University / Langone Dental Medicine Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program, based out of Brooklyn, New York. Established in 1988, NYU/L’s AEGD program turns accomplished dental school graduates into advanced clinicians while residents concurrently provide oral healthcare to vulnerable populations. A unique and exceptional program in concept and design, the AEGD (PGY-1 12 Months, second year optional) Program at NYU/L advances a resident’s skills in general dentistry well beyond traditional school-based or clinic-only based programs. The AEGD Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) and its affiliated clinical training sites are recognized as approved clinical training sites by CODA. In this unique program, dental residents gain experience in a group practice setting at a busy community health center, providing oral health care to their patients while working alongside a team of general dentists, assistants, physicians, and other health care professionals. NYU/L has pioneered the innovative concept of a community health center-based postdoctoral dental residency program and is now the largest of its kind. The dental residency program builds upon more than twenty years of dental care offered by Family HealthCare Network. For over 7 years we have had a very successful program, turning out graduates who are well-rounded and confident dentists, ready to step into the next phase of their career.
