Visalia, CA – Through the month of December, Family HealthCare Network (FHCN) in partnership with the Visalia Emergency Aid (VEA) distributed canned foods, stuffing, fresh produce, and poultry to create 200 holiday baskets for families. Children under the age of 15 also received a toy.
Recipients of the holiday baskets submitted applications to the VEA, and families meeting income criteria were identified by FHCN staff. On December 21st, Holiday baskets were distributed at the Goshen and Ivanhoe Health Centers for the families’ convenience.
Family HealthCare Network has partnered with the VEA for over 10 years to distribute the holiday baskets in the communities. “We hope that the holiday baskets bring comfort to the families this holiday season,” stated Kerry Hydash, President & CEO for FHCN. This is the second holiday basket distribution for FHCN. Family HealthCare Network provided 108 families with holiday baskets on December 4th through the organization’s Anita Fund. The Anita Fund is a 25 year tradition of the organization where employees donate annually to provide holiday baskets to patients nominated by staff members.
