HANFORD, CA.— Family HealthCare Network (FHCN) and the Kings County Department of Public Health announce the release of COVID-19 vaccines in the Home Garden area of Hanford, CA for individuals aged 65 years or older.

Yesterday, FHCN and the Kings County Department of Public Health hosted a joint event at Kings Community Action Organization in Hanford, California where 110 vaccines were administered. Individuals who participated in the event had pre-registered for the vaccine through the Kings County Department of Public Health. All individuals vaccinated were 65 years of age or older.

“We have been serving in Kings County for over 10 years and are pleased to have been able to partner with the Kings County Department of Public Health to administer COVID-19 vaccines in an area of great need. Vaccines are currently the most effective way of combating the COVID-19 virus, and have been deemed safe by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We strive to keep our communities and staff safe,” said Kerry Hydash, President & CEO of Family HealthCare Network.

“We thank our community for their support in keeping their neighbors safe, and for their patience as supplies are replenished and appointments become available, said Ed Hill, Director of Public Health.
The Kings County Department of Public Health will keep the public informed of vaccine appointments through the Kings County website,www.kingscovidinfo.com . You can also register to be notified when you are eligible for the vaccine at www.fhcn.org/vaccine-interest-form.

Family HealthCare Network is following the lead of the Kings County Department of Public Health in the release of vaccines for each tier. At this time the focus will be on vaccinations for essential health workers and individuals 65 and older. Over the last several weeks, FHCN has been administering vaccines to qualified individuals, and are excited to continue offering the vaccine to the public when it becomes available.
