Visalia, CA – Family HealthCare Network (FHCN)’s team of Covered California (Covered CA) Certified Enrollment Counselors are preparing for the 2018 Covered California renewal and open enrollment period. This year, Covered CA has designated two separate dates for its renewal
and open enrollment periods. The renewal period is from October 11, 2017 through December 15, 2017 for individuals who enrolled in the exchange last year, and the open enrollment period for new enrollees begins November 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018.
“Two-thousand seventeen marks FHCN’s fourth year of providing enrollment assistance to our patients and community members, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of being a resource in the communities we serve,” stated Kerry Hydash, President & CEO. The renewal period is a time when individuals and families already enrolled in the exchange should review changes in their address, income, family size, and coverage options as rates and coverage change annually. “Education and assistance is still needed to help community members navigate through the coverage process,” added Hydash.
Certified Enrollment Counselors are available at each of FHCN’s 19 health centers throughout Tulare and Kings Counties and at FHCN’s Resource Center located at 323 W. Putnam Avenue in Porterville. Enrollment counselors will be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
