Our
Family Medicine physicians can provide continuing and comprehensive
health care for the individual and the entire family. Our Family
Physicians care is comprehensive and not limited by age, sex, or
medical problem. Our physicians evaluate the patient’s total
health care needs and are in unique positions to establish a strong
bond with their patients. They provide primary care services, which
include health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance,
counseling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute
and chronic illnesses in a variety of health care settings. Our
Family Physicians work very closely with Physician Assistants and
Family Nurse Practitioners to provide all of these services.
Family HealthCare Network has implemented a team
approach to patient care in which all providers work within teams
to ensure continuity of care. Our provider teams consist of Family
Medicine physicians, an Internal Medicine physician, and Physician
Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners.
In addition to office visits, our Family Physicians
also provide care to their own and/or their colleagues patients,
which are hospitalized. This allows for continuity from the outpatient
setting to the inpatient setting. Some of our Family Medicine physicians
also provide obstetrical services and many are also skilled at minor
office procedures.
Family Medicine services are currently
offered at all of our health centers:
