Family HealthCare Network provides several opportunities for community members to volunteer with the organization. Volunteers are able to participate in training, outreach events and health fairs as well as work on specific health initiatives in their community.

Promotor/a de Salud Program/Community Health Worker Volunteer Program

Family HealthCare Network established a Promotor/a de Salud Program or Community Health Worker Volunteer Program in 2008. This offers community members an opportunity to learn more about the health care industry, learn more about a certain health issue and want to promote health prevention on key topics in their community, or just want to give back to their community. The organization boasts various opportunities within our health centers, the communities you are from, health fairs and outreach events to be a part of a dynamic volunteer network in Tulare and Kings Counties.

Reach out and Read

Family HealthCare Network has launched a Reach out and Read Program. There are various opportunities for individuals to volunteer as readers in our health centers to promote this program and the importance a reading literacy for children.
